While the summer can be the perfect time to help your children strengthen academic skills, it’s also a great time to encourage them to explore their interests. Check out some of the resources below if you’re looking for enriching summer programs! Many of these camps are offering in-person and overnight options.
Ojai is full of fun recreational, artistic, and academic opportunities this summer! The Ojai Recreation Department is offering camps in surfing, soccer, dancing, Legos, and science, in addition to their regularly scheduled classes. Have your child try out rowing with the Casitas Rowing classes or tackle mountain biking in the Ojai Riders Club. Families can also take advantage of summer camps hosted by local schools, including the Ojai Valley School summer camps which include classes in academics, fine arts, equestrian, robotics, and performing arts.
Ventura County and Santa Barbara areas are also brimming with different camp and program options for kids this summer! Have your child spend time at the beach with the Ventura Junior Lifeguards. Girls can check out the Santa Barbara-based Girls Rock camp, which focuses on encouraging girls to try new things and create lasting relationships all within a safe environment.
The Conejo Valley Guide lists over 140 summer programs throughout Ventura and the surrounding areas, including sports, academic, traditional, and art and music camps. The Ventura County Mom Collective also published a guide to local Summer Camps. This comprehensive list includes sports and outdoor activities camps, art and music camps, as well as STEM opportunities.
