Elizabeth Memel, MA ~ Serving ages 0-2

(323) 651-0022 ~ lizmemel@authenticbabies.com ~ website
1943 Meiners Road ~ Ojai, CA 93023

Liz Memel has over 35 years of experience as a RIE Associate, offering a holistic approach to being and caring for people, working with infants, young children and the adults who care for them. The goal is to help raise authentic infants who are confident, focused, attentive, peaceful, resourceful and curious. Liz facilitates Certified RIE® Parent-Infant or Toddler Guidance™ Classes for families with children from age 0 to 2 with a demonstration and observation program that meets once a week for 90 minutes at a time. She also offers consultation at her home studio and at in-home visits. Since spring 2020 the very successful alternative online zoom parenting groups have offered deep learning and optimal preventative understandings from newborn stage onward. Liz’s newest program in Ojai, RIE Wanderland, is a chance to roam free during visits for one family at a time with children from birth to age 8. Check out her instagram for descriptive photos. Other certified courses taught include Nurturing Nanny, Before Baby pre-natal education and the 60 hour RIE Foundations: Theory and Observations Course that have zoomed globally with far-reaching extraordinary outcomes.

“Our son was 2 months and we were looking for our tribe. I’m incredibly grateful for Liz Memel and all others who have helped make RIE accessible during this time. Our meetings each week have been an anchor for our family. Every week I feel like I begin a new process of undoing or unlearning in order to be with our child in a sense of wonder. I’m reminded every week to wait, then wait some more- to allow the natural unfolding of my son. And my gosh is it beautiful. I’m continually impressed and in awe of his innate abilities and competencies.  The virtual aspect of RIE has been fitting for my own learning style, being able to ask questions, receive feedback, and to hear how others may be similarly struggling with theirchild. Liz’s videos have also been helpful in giving a visual aid to what to look at when observing our son. Overall we are just so grateful that RIE is virtual and we are able to get support during this time.”
