Camping

The students of the Lighthouse School of Ojai went camping at Lake Casitas. It was a lot of fun. The students were divided into teams of three and each team had jobs. Setting up camp was a lot of fun; team three had to set up tents. Having teams was a great way to build teamwork. While camping, our art teacher Holly came out to paint with us at the lake. We also went to the camp store to look around. Later, we took a walk around the lake. While camping we built campfires and played a bunch of games. It was a lot of fun camping! The weather at the lake was sunny, but it ended up being so windy that we had to pack up and sleep at the school for the second night. Sleeping at the school was fun too. At Lake Casitas we couldn’t touch the water because it is the drinking water supply for Ojai, which was a bummer. I can’t wait until we go camping again.
