The educational therapy programs designed and implemented by Lighthouse Learning Solutions are intended to improve many skills; however, completion of the recommended hours of a program does not guarantee improvement in any specific areas. Results will vary depending upon student behavior, level of participation, and individual differences. *

For all educational therapy and tutoring sessions, payment must be made in advance. Registration documents and the deposit or first payment must be received prior to the scheduled start date of the program. The Client Information Form must be completed, and any medical or behavioral concerns that may affect your student's time in sessions must be indicated. In the event that you are offered the option of making payments over time, a 1.5% finance charge will be added to any balances that are more than 30 days past due. *

Individual session hours are typically 55 minutes in length and clients are generally invoiced in increments of 20 sessions. In non-emergency situations, individual sessions will not be refunded or rescheduled if canceled with LESS than 24 hours notice. *

For group sessions and school support programs, deposits and individual monthly payments are non-refundable. The progress of your student depends on regular attendance and completion of the recommended program(s) of instruction. *

Frequent communication regarding student progress is encouraged; however, Lighthouse instructors are prohibited from giving personal cell phone numbers, email addresses, and/or mailing addresses to clients. This personal information should not be requested by parents/guardians or students. Communication with individual instructors is expected to take place through Lighthouse email addresses (firstname@lhl.solutions) and our group Lighthouse iMessage account (info@lighthouselearningsolutions.com). *

During in-home sessions, you must take full responsibility for your student's safety within the home. Employees of Lighthouse Learning Solutions are not to be held responsible for the supervision of your student beyond the scheduled instructional time. *

For video-conferencing sessions, students are expected to arrive to their meetings on time and ready to work. Student work space should be limited to a desk or a work table in a quiet area. The area should be comfortable, well lit, and free of distraction. Students are expected to keep work materials, a water bottle, and approved fidgets close at hand throughout the session, and snacks consumed during session time should be kept to a minimum. *

Lighthouse students are expected to behave in a manner that is safe, kind, and respectful during their interactions with instructors and peers. Students who behave in a manner that is unsafe, unkind, or disrespectful will be given the opportunity to change their behavior and redirected to a more appropriate choice. If the behavior persists, the instructional session may be paused or terminated. With the assistance of a parent, the student may be expected to reflect upon their behavior and submit a written note of apology that expresses an understanding of why the behavior was not appropriate. *

Your student’s participation in Lighthouse programming requires respectful communication with Lighthouse instructors. Students should be supported in advocating for themselves, and parents should listen and encourage their students to speak directly to instructors about minor questions, problems, or concerns that arise. Instructors should not be confronted with any major concerns regarding student programming, rather these concerns should be raised promptly with the student's program coordinator. *
