Learning about Geologic Time

In science the Lighthouse students did research about the major geologic time periods including the Precambrian, the Paleozoic, the Mesozoic, and the Cenozoic. Each student chose to present their research as a Powerpoint or a written report. We spent three weeks researching our assigned time periods and completing our reports. We learned about the atmosphere during each time period, the animals and plants that were alive during each time period, and what the continents looked like during each time period. It was really interesting to see how the plants and animals changed over time. Next, the Lighthouse students will be learning about evolution and how the world has changed over time.
