Interim Semester

At The Lighthouse School of Ojai, there is something called the Interim Semester. The Interim Semester is 6 weeks long and the students make a project which has to include language arts, math, science, history, and art. I am doing my project on World War I and World War II and I am researching weaponry, sizes of military, and which countries fought. However, other students are doing different topics that they are interested in, for example, coding, cooking, and memoir writing! For P.E. we each chose a goal of either backpacking overnight or running a 5k or 10k race. We train three days a week toward our goal. I really like this semester!
