Last Week of School at Lighthouse!
This has been a busy last week of school for the students of the Lighthouse School of Ojai. Not only did they review much of the material that they learned throughout the year, but they also reflected on the connections they made between the different subjects and topics they learned about. During these last two weeks of the school the students wrote and developed skits for their very own Shakespearean sonnets, which they performed at our End of the Year celebration. They were all very creative and true to the themes of Shakespeare!
The students also successfully completed their Kung Fu/Tai Chi unit of P.E. After performing the 26-move set for their instructor, Sifu Tom from The Mountain Institute for Kung Fu and Tai Chi, they each received a certificate commemorating their accomplishment!
The students finished up their last day by celebrating their year of hard work with a pizza-pool party! We are all so proud of the growth and progress our students have made this year and are looking forward to an exciting school year in the fall!
Enrollment for the Lighthouse School of Ojai 2016-2017 school year is currently open.
