Learning about the Humane Society of Ojai!
Today the students of the Lighthouse School of Ojai visited the local Humane Society to learn about how it serves our community. Before the students left on their outing, they developed a list of questions they had for the Humane Society staff about the different services they provide and the kinds of animals they care for. They were very excited to see the variety of dogs and the new litter of kittens! The students were able to use their Social Thinking skills as well by practicing expected behaviors for guided tours and for being around lots of fun animals! Next week the students will be learning about the volunteer opportunities available in our community at Help of Ojai!
