Using Social Thinking while Dining Out!

This week the students of the Lighthouse School of Ojai visited Casa de Lagos in Ojai for lunch. There the students practiced many of the Social Thinking skills they have been learning and solidifying over the past month, including engaging in meaningful and interesting conversation with the people around them by using information they have learned about others’ interests. The students were also able to practice appropriate behavior for a restaurant; ordering from a menu, conversing with the server and the people at their table, waiting for everyone to get their meals before beginning to eat, and engaging in appropriate mealtime conversation. The students enjoyed great food and a pleasant afternoon with their classmates and instructors!
