Welcome to Lighthouse Learning Solutions!

We are a small, local clinic offering comprehensive evaluation, educational therapy and academic support to students of all ages in the Ojai Valley. Our main objective is to help children who struggle with learning strengthen their skills in order to reach their full potential. Above all, our mission is to provide a respectful and collaborative environment in which students will love to learn!

Our Founder and Executive Director, Gloria Ellis, holds advanced degrees in Psychology from Vassar College and the University of Hartford. With extensive classroom, clinical, and special education experience, Gloria brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective to our learning center. Her assessment training in the fields of education, psychology, and neuropsychology coupled with her long-term success with the Lindamood-Bell® programs uniquely qualify Gloria to evaluate a student’s learning process and create a comprehensive intervention plan that addresses multiple areas of need.

At Lighthouse Learning Solutions it is our belief that all students have the ability to succeed, needing only targeted instruction to develop and learn to use the essential cognitive skills. We know that schools do their best to supply students and their families with the necessary tools, but that sometimes the needs can simply exceed the resources available. In those situations, Lighthouse Learning Solutions can provide the individual attention as well the specific programming each child needs to find success.

Something that makes Lighthouse Learning Solutions unique is our willingness and desire to go beyond working with students and their families. We firmly believe that a strong team of caring adults can work wonders in the process of educating a child, so we make every effort to collaborate with schools and consult with professionals in other fields. Additionally, in an effort to reach as many students as possible, we are pleased to offer consultation, training, and workshops to parents, educators, and schools.
