Tom has many years of experience working with students at a variety of levels and ages, and all throughout this time he has tutored in math because he has loved math since he was in grade school. Sam discovered his love for teaching and working with kids when he assisted his Cultural History teacher in high school. He loved the whole process – learning the subject matter, designing a lesson plan, working with kids to learn the content of his lesson plan, and reflecting in his work. He knew then that he wanted to teach. The subject matter that he fell in love with was Philosophy and Literature. After high school, Sam attended Colorado College where he majored in Philosophy and student-taught in one of the local middle schools in Colorado Springs.
