In working with a child with a learning difference, the Dubin Center takes a whole child approach. Pat uses scientifically designed curricula with an Orton-Gillingham basis such as the Lindamood-Bell processes as well as other sensory-cognitive methods which were developed by the Landmark school. She uses a modified “Read Naturally” program for improving reading fluency. She address handwriting difficulties using the “Handwriting Without Tears” methodology as well as other methods that have proven successful over the years. She keeps current by attending meetings of the international Dyslexia Association and the Association of Educational Therapists.
