The Botanical Gardens
By Justine Hardy
Two weeks ago, us kids at Lighthouse School went to the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens. We saw many different plants and trees. Everyone went on a nice walk through the woods and we took a break to meditate. There was a tree that one of our classmates was named after- “Acacia”. During our snack we saw two turtles in a pond and we got to feed them. We saw a colossal tree called a redwood and some evergreen trees. Lunch was good and when we ate we could see a great view of lots of trees. We got to see some grape leaves. They were so cool and colorful. Micaela, Ruby, and Justine all kissed a tree. Everyone saw lots of very elegant flowers and we were amazed! During this trip every kid was very kind to each other it was like being in a fairytale land! VERY PRETTY!
