This week, our students at The Lighthouse School of Ojai participated in a first aid class to educate them about the importance and value of knowing how to care for someone who is injured. Each student learned and practiced CPR on a manikin with a professional medic. They also learned how to properly treat bee stings, nosebleeds, heat exhaustion, and burns, which are all things that they may experience while out on day hikes or while camping. Thanks to the medical trainers from S.M.A.R.T. our students now have a great understanding of how to respond to those in need of medical attention!
